4-year-old Montana boy dies of injuries in murder-suicide
ST. REGIS, Mont. (AP) — A 4-year-old Montana boy died Tuesday of injuries suffered when his father shot him last weekend, Mineral County officials said.
The boy was shot Saturday along with his 7-year-old brother before their father turned the gun on himself at a residence near St. Regis, Sheriff Mike Toth said.
A woman called 911 just before 5 p.m. Saturday to report she had come home from work and found her son and two grandsons with gunshot wounds, officials said.
Anthony Dascher, 37, and the 7-year-old died at the scene. The 4-year-old was airlifted to a hospital in Spokane, Washington, where he was placed on life support, Toth said.
He died early Tuesday, Toth told ABC Fox Montana.
The boys' names have not been released.
Dascher is believed to be responsible for the shootings and there is no threat to the public, Toth has said.
