Lady Lions clinch 7B title; Whitefish girls rout Polson
EUREKA — The Eureka Lady Lions clinched first place in District 7B with a 56-34 win over the Bigfork Valkyries in Class B girls’ basketball Thursday.
Katie Schmidt paced the Lions with 21 points, including three 3-pointers. Kyla Bohne added 15.
The Lions led 33-14 at the half.
For the Valkyries, Scout Nadeau poured in 15 points (also including three 3-pointers) and Emma Berreth added 13.

WHITEFISH — Gracie Smyley rained three 3-pointers on the way to 23 points and Whitefish made short work of Northwest A foe Polson.
Brook Smith added 12 points and Mikenna Ells checked in with 10 for the Bulldogs (9-3 overall, 4-2 in league), who led 33-7 at halftime.
Mossy Kauley scored 10 points for the Lady Pirates (0-10, 0-6).

BIGFORK — The Bigfork Vikings pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat the Eureka Lions 54-45 in Class B boys basketball.
Bryce Gilliard led the way for Bigfork with 11 points, and Walker Fisher added 10 to the team’s balanced scoring.
For Eureka, TJ Carr paced with 11 points. Gavin Bates scored 10 points.

POLSON — Colton Graham’s 14 points paced the Polson Pirates in a 59-42 win over Northwest A foe Whitefish Bulldogs Thursday.
Trevor Lake added 13 for the Pirates (10-1 overall, 6-0 league), and Jarrett Wilson scored 12.
Jayce Cripe’s 11 points paced the Bulldogs, who fell to 5-7 and 2-5.
