Weather, COVID change game times for Flathead, Glacier

The current cold snap has added to the list of basketball cancellations across Montana and including the Flathead Valley, where Thursday’s home game between Flathead and Missoula Hellgate’s girls’ basketball teams was postponed.

The game will be made up Saturday, Feb. 27 at 4:15 p.m. at the Flathead gym, according to Flathead activities director Bryce Wilson.

Meanwhile at Glacier Saturday, the Hellgate boys will bring in only their freshman and varsity teams; a COVID situation with the Knights caused the other sub-varsity games to be cancelled, Glacier AD Mark Dennehy said.

The freshmen will play at 12:30 p.m. and the varsity at 2 p.m.

Similarly the JV game between Missoula Big Sky and Glacier set for Monday is cancelled due to COVID. The varsity game – it was moved from Feb. 2 – will tip off at 4 p.m. Monday at the Glacier gym.
