3rd-quarter Butte surge sinks Bravettes
BUTTE — MacKenzie Tutty scored 15 points, Kodie Hoagland added 14 and the Butte Bulldogs pulled away after halftime to beat the Flathead Bravettes 48-35 Saturday in Western AA girls’ basketball.
Clare Converse led the Bravettes (2-7) with 10 points, and Flathead trailed just 15-14 before Butte (3-8) scored the last five points of the first half.
The Bulldogs then opened the third quarter with a 17-4 surge, and led by as much as 45-23 in the fourth period.
Maddy Moy added eight points for Flathead, whose next game is at Helena Capital Thursday.
