Wildkats stay undefeated with win over Browning
COLUMBIA FALLS — Hannah Schweikert and Lauren Falkner had double-doubles for the Columbia Falls Wildkats in a 62-46 win over Northwest A foe the Browning Lady Indians on Saturday.
Schweikert scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Falkner had 11 points and 10 boards.
“I thought it was one of the more complete games offensively and defensively,” Wildkats coach Cary Finberg said. “Thought we shared the ball well and we competed throughout. Very few bad stretches in this game … we need to do that going forward.”
Lakia Hill added 15 points and had five assists for the Wildkats.
Overall the Wildkats out-rebounded the Lady Indians 41-28.
Columbia Falls went 6-for-7 in free throws in the fourth quarter to ice the win.
The Wildkats remain undefeated at 15-0 overall and 9-0 in league play.
For Browning (5-5, 3-4), Mecca Bullchild scored nine points.

THOMPSON FALLS — The Thompson Falls Blue Hawks held off a late rally by the Bigfork Valkyries to win 60-53 in nonconference Class B action.
Megan Baxter paced the Blue Hawks (10-2 overall, 6-2 league) with 19 points.
Bigfork’s Emma Berreth scored a game-high 26 points, including five 3-pointers, for the Valkyries (8-6, 3-5). Callie Martinz added 10.
