Lori Ann Crum, 58

Lori Ann Crum, 58, passed away on Jan. 29, 2021, at The HealthCenter in Kalispell.

Lori was born on March 24, 1962, to John and Sammy (Burman) Crum, in Santa Barbara, California.

Lori was a humorous, creative, gentle, loving, kind person, who loved animals, to see the beauty around her and in others, to paint hearts, feed hummingbirds, and work in the garden. Her favorite flower was the tuberose, which reminded her of living in Hawaii with views of the ocean. Her favorite time of the year was winter because it gave her time for self reflection. She loved to explore spirituality, natural remedies, cross country ski, fish, write, take photographs and paint.

Lori grew up on the Monterey peninsula where she, like most, worked in the hospitality industry. She decided that this wasn’t for her and she headed for Colorado where she and a friend owned an art gallery. This is where she developed her love for winter, snow and quiet, peaceful moments.

Cross-country skiing in the Rocky Mountains led her to the Flathead Valley in Montana. Here she continued as a waitress for a few years. While still in the Flathead Valley she left waitressing and began to pursue her spiritual and creative side. She then met Navar Swift while selling subscriptions at the Bigfork IGA. After only seven fishing dates they spent 14 years of their life exploring nature and spirituality in Montana. Lori developed her spiritual quest, as well as her writing, painting, photography and other creative endeavors. Lori touched many lives while working at Electric Avenue Gifts in Bigfork. Very few people who met Lori didn’t admire her gentle, caring nature. She was loved, and will be missed.
