Wolfpack outlasts Big Sky in OT

The Glacier Wolfpack held on to a lead in overtime to edge the Missoula Big Sky Eagles 52-50 in a Western AA boys basketball game on Monday.
Trailing 23-25 at the half, Glacier outscored Big Sky 19-17 to force overtime.
Jaxson Olsen paced the Pack with 14 points. Connor Sullivan and Weston Price each had 11. Five of Price’s points came in overtime. Sullivan drained three 3-pointers.
Glacier went 5-for-14 at the free throw line.
For Big Sky, Kade Olson scored 13 points.
Glacier’s next game is Thursday, a 7:15 p.m. home contest against Helena High.

EUREKA —Gavin Bates scored 17 points and Joey Kinkel added 10 as the Eureka Lions rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit to down visiting Flathead Valley Homeschool 55-52 on Monday.
Bates hit five 3-pointers — four in the second half — and was 2-for-3 from the free throw line.
The Crusaders led 24-15 at the half, but Eureka cut the lead to 41-38 after three quarters.
Eli Husted paced the Crusaders with 15 points.

MISSOULA — Bryce Gilliard scored 24 points and Isak Epperly added 13 as the Bigfork Vikings downed host Loyola in boys basketball action, 60-44 on Monday night.
Bigfork led 26-23 at half and 38-33 after three quarters, then turned on the jets with a 22-point fourth quarter.
Finn Richardson paced Loyola with 19 points.
