Smith, Dawgs turn tables on Ronan

WHITEFISH — Bodie Smith scored 17 points and Whitefish avenged an earlier loss to Ronan with a 50-42 Northwest A boys’ basketball win over the Chiefs Tuesday.

Jayce Cripe added 13 points – eight coming in a strong second quarter – and Talon Holmquest had 11 for the Bulldogs (5-7 overall, 3-5 in league), who handled Ronan’s pressure better than in 74-49 loss a week ago.

Eli Tonasket had a game-high 18 points for Ronan (9-4, 4-3).
