Williams powers Glacier girls past Helena High
HELENA — Kenzie Williams broke out with 16 points and the Glacier Wolfpack beat the Helena High Bengals 54-47 in Western AA girls’ basketball on Thursday.
Williams was also 4-for-4 at the free throw line and sank two three pointers.
Trailing 12-7 after the first quarter, Glacier (7-5) outscored Helena 47-35 the rest of the way.
“Impressive team win tonight, that showed our resiliency, ability to make adjustments and play team-centered basketball,” Glacier coach Amanda Cram said. “What I like most was how we got it done – together. Although Kenzie Williams scored 16 points, she was a tremendous leader on the court, which was a difference maker tonight.”
Emma Anderson added 11 points for the Pack and Kaylee Fritz had nine. Janessa Henson sank four of her six free throws.
For Helena (3-6), Alex Bullock scored 17 points and Kylie Lantz added 11.

HELENA – Mara McGinley scored 15 points, all on 3-pointers, and Helena Capital pulled away in the second half of its game with the Flathead Bravettes Thursday.
Flathead (2-8) trailed 28-22 at halftime, getting eight second-quarter points from freshman Kennedy Moore. The Bruins (10-1) outscored the Bravettes 26-13 in the second half.
Moore finished with 13 points and Maddy Moy added 11.
