WHITEFISH -- Alihn Anderson scored 18 points to lead three Columbia Falls players in double figures, and the Wildcats beat Whitefish in a Western A Divisional boys’ basketball play-in game Monday.
Jace Hill added 12 points and Allec Knapton scored 13. Knapton had 10 boards, six on the offensive end for the Cats (7-9), who advanced to this week’s Western A tournament in Butte.
Mason Peters had 12 rebounds and took three charges for a defense that held Whitefish standout Jayce Cripe to two points.
“We did key on him better than in games past,” Wildcats’ coach Chris Finberg said. “He didn’t get going obviously, and that was a big part of the game.”
Bodie Smith scored 17 points to lead the Bulldogs, who ended up 7-9.
