Rest of Kalispell basketball teams on road; Pack boys play Tuesday
Glacier’s girls (8-6) ended up the No. 4 seed out the Western AA and is the lone local team to play at home this week, in the State AA basketball play-in round.
The Wolfpack will play host to Helena High (6-7) Thursday at 5 p.m., for a spot in next week’s State AA tournament in Great Falls.
The Wolfpack swept the two regular-season meetings with the Bengals, by scores of 60-54 and 54-47.
The seventh-seeded Flathead Bravettes (2-10) will play at Helena Capital (13-1) Thursday at 7 p.m. The Bruins lost a coin-flip with Missoula Hellgate (13-1) to determine the top seed.
The Glacier boys don’t have the record of a seven seed, but that’s where the Wolfpack ended up thanks to a coin-flip to break a tie in their Western AA standings.
The Pack, 6-8, will now play at 10-4 Missoula Hellgate Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Both Missoula Big Sky and Flathead also had six wins this season. The Braves ended up with the No. 5 seed and play at Butte (7-7) Thursday at 5 p.m. for a spot at state.
Both Glacier and Flathead lost both their regular-season meetings with their play-in opponents. Hellgate beat Glacier 59-29 and 54-40, and Butte beat Flathead by scores of 77-74 and 60-49.
