Lady Lions earn first win of season over Mission

MISSION — Kyla Bohne scored 22 points to lead the Eureka Lions to their first win of the season, edging the Mission Bulldogs 60-58 in District 7B girl’s basketball on Tuesday.

Bohne added eight rebounds and seven assists to her 22 points.

Katie Schmidt scored 16, and Rhianna Hawkins nine. Hawkins also had 10 rebounds.

Mission was able to tie the game 33-all by the half, but Eureka (1-1) outscored Mission 16-8 in the third quarter to take the lead. Despite a 15-point push by the Bulldogs in the fourth, the Lions held on.

Madison Curry and Kooper Page led Mission with 11 points each.

Stillwater Christian 60, Troy 23

The Stillwater Christian Cougars routed the Troy Trojans 60-23 behind Sophia Sulzbacher’s game-high 15 points in a non-conference game.

Zoe Linn scored 12, Marae Tintzman nine and Madison Morken checked in with eight.

For Troy, Jaden Leighty led with nine points.

Stillwater held Troy to just one point in the fourth quarter.
