Free virtual salary negotiation workshop offered
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) Montana chapter and the League of Women Voters of Billings are partnering to provide a free virtual salary negotiation workshop at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, specifically to Latina students and professionals across the state.
AAUW Work Smart is a research-based program designed to teach women how to professionally negotiate a fair salary. Pre-registration is required at bit.ly/3npOMUe. Once registered, workshop materials will be provided to all participants.
Work Smart participants will learn how to research their target salary, highlight their accomplishments, and find the right words — and confidence — to negotiate for better benefits and pay. Negotiating increases your potential to earn more and can make the difference when paying off loans, supporting your family, buying what you want and need, and saving for the future.
The AAUW has been the nation’s leading voice promoting equity and education for women and girls since 1881. To date, AAUW’s salary negotiation programs have trained 176,000 people to negotiate their salaries and benefits nationwide.
