Lakers roll past Bozeman Bucks

The Kalispell Lakers AA had their bats tuned up Monday.

Kalispell rallied from an early 2-run deficit visiting Bozeman Bucks and came away with a 12-2 American Legion baseball victory in the first game of a doubleheader, then rolled to a 16-1 win in the nightcap.

In the first game, Gage Brink batted 3-for-3 with a triple, Danny Kernan was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI and Ethan Diede was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI.

Bozeman scored one run in the first and another in the third, but after that it was all Kalispell. The Lakers scored five runs in third and another six in the fourth.

Kalispell broke the second game open with an 11-run fourth inning and outhit the Bucks, 13-4.

Danny Kernan, Kostya Hoffman and Joseph Schlegel each had two hits in the second game. Brink, Drish and Kael Willis had doubles and Kernan belted a triple.
