Twins blow out Cannons, 13-2
WHITEFISH — Stevyn Andrachick hit a 2-run homer during Glacier’s 9-run third inning, and the Twins coasted to a 13-2 win over the Spokane Cannons at the Sapa-Johnsrud tournament late Friday.
Mason Peters had three hits and scored two runs for the Twins (39-12), while Andrachick added a double, drove in a third run and scored three times. Jake McIntyre had a double and scored twice.
Jacob Polumbus and George Robbins combined on a five-inning no hitter. Polumbus struck out six in 42/3 innings. He gave up three hits and four walks.
The tournament continued Saturday — the Twins played the late game against the Missoula Eagles, and it wasn’t over at press time — and concludes Sunday with the championship at 7 p.m. at Memorial Field.
