A Lakers split final 2 at Harp Memorial tourney

It took extra innings, but the Kalispell A Lakers got the win over the Great Falls Chargers at the Harp Memorial Tournament late Saturday, 7-6 when Kane Morisaki scored on an eighth-inning wild pitch.

The win put the Lakers’ record at their tournament at 2-1; they lost to the Helena Reps 6-0 on Sunday.

The Chargers and Lakers combined for 13 errors Saturday. Jackson Nelson had two hits, including a triple, and Haiden Bunyea scored twice

James Moody got the win with 42/3 innings of scoreless relief: he allowed two hits and one walk and struck out one.

The Lakers’ momentum didn’t hold over to Sunday, as they managed just five hits and were shut out.,

Oscar Kallis had two hits from his leadoff spot; Kalispell’s other hits cam from Nelson, Ostyn Brennan and Asher Baines. The Lakers are now 19-22 on the season.
