Late homer lifts Bitterroot over Twins
WHITEFISH — A solo homer in the top of the seventh inning broke a 3-3 tie and the Bitterroot Bucs went on to defeat the Glacier Twins, 5-3 in the first game of a doubleheader Sunday afternoon.
At presstime, the Twins led the second game, 9-1 in the fifth inning.
The Twins led the first game 3-2 after two innings, but the Bucs tied it up in the sixth.
Bitterroot tallied 10 hits in the game, while holding the Twins to three.
Jacob Polumbus led Glacier at the plate, batting 2-for-2 with a double. He also stole two bases.
The Twins tore up the basepaths with five stolen bases in the first game.
