A limited number of discounted tickets for the carnival at the 2021 Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo are on sale at all Whitefish Credit Union branches, the fairgrounds office and the CHS store in Kalispell.

Purchased in advance, the tickets cost $25 each and can be exchanged at carnival ticket booths for a wristband that allows one person unlimited rides on most attractions for one day.

The tickets can be used any one day of the carnival, which will run from Aug. 18 to Aug. 22, and are the cheapest way to experience the rides.

Fairgoers can purchase the tickets until 5 p.m. Aug. 17, or while supplies last. Wristbands also will be available at carnival ticket booths during the fair for $35 each.

Fairgoers will be charged a separate fee at the gate for admission to the fairgrounds — $8 for adults and teens, $5 for seniors 65 and older, and $5 for children ages 6 to 12. Children ages 5 and younger will be admitted free of charge.

Fairgoers can save money by purchasing admission tickets until Aug. 20, or while supplies last, at any Whitefish Credit Union branch in Kalispell, Columbia Falls or Whitefish during normal business hours. Admission tickets purchased in advance cost $5 per person, regardless of age.

Fairgrounds Manager Mark Campbell said North Star Amusements has stringent sanitization measures in place to protect the health of guests and workers. All rides and other surfaces will be sanitized between uses. Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrances and exits of all rides, and handwashing stations will be located throughout the carnival area and fairgrounds.
