Law roundup: Young women counseled for ‘obnoxious’ behavior
A caller said some young women on a four-wheeler were being “loud and obnoxious.” The complainant noted the off-roaders were “usually on [their] phones.” The Columbia Falls Police Department counseled the young women on their infractions.

A Columbia Falls resident thought he heard someone “smashing a vehicle and running around.” It also sounded to him “like someone was kicking on a door.” Officers found out some apartment dwellers had invited friends over, who got into an argument and then left.
Someone yelled at a camper who parked her vehicle early ahead of a state swimming competition. The camper was given permission by the event organizers and the city to camp at the location before the event, but she was nonetheless told by the angry observer: “this is not a campground.”
