Man charged with assault with a weapon, robbery

Kalispell police officers arrested an 18-year-old man Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly pointed a gun at someone and demanded his car keys in the 200 block of Second Avenue East.

Robert Hanna was arrested and is being held in the Flathead County Detention Center on charges of assault with a weapon and robbery, according to a press release from the Kalispell Police Department.

Officers responded at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a disturbance with a weapon, and learned the suspect had approached the victim in a parking lot, pointed a gun at the victim and demanded his car keys.

The victim alerted bystanders to call 911. The suspect left the area on foot. Officers in the area located and arrested Hanna.

The investigation is ongoing. The police department said anyone with information should contact Detective Dan Williams at 406-758-7795.
