Cawdrey Gallery announces new name, location, website

| June 17, 2021 12:00 AM

Cawdrey Gallery will host a ribbon cutting at 5 p.m. Friday, June 18, at its new location, 206 Lupfer Ave., in downtown Whitefish, with light refreshments and beverages to follow. All are welcome to attend and see the new space.

The gallery also has a newly designed website and will offer an in-store buy one, get one poster, lithograph or print free as a launch deal for June and July.

“The Lupfer address is a smaller space than before, and though we will hang works by every represented artist in the brick-and-mortar gallery, there is more and more online business we are conducting with valued clients and new collectors,” owner and artist Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey said. “To make the most of the space, we will be rotating artwork more frequently and maintaining a strong online presence.”

After almost 20 years as Nancy Cawdrey Studios, the Cawdrey family decided it was time for an updated name, look and web presence. The resulting rebrand is clean, simple and elegant, with a website combining form and functionality. Steve and Nancy Cawdrey’s gallery has always been known to represent lots of color, talented local and regional artists, and beautiful framing built by Frame of Reference. Shortening the name to Cawdrey Gallery reflects that while it remains the primary representative of Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey’s work, the gallery represents 10-plus other artists as well. All represented artists are open to commissions.

The gallery is a family business, with Steve and Nancy’s son Morgan assisting with marketing, appraising and special projects.

Personal visits to Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey’s studio can be arranged by calling the gallery. The gallery’s past website, nancycawdrey.com, will display Cawdrey’s extensive body of work (www.nancycawdrey.com).
