Local photographer Jazmyn Rose exhibits at Phillips Gallery

| March 4, 2021 12:00 AM

Local professional photographer Jazmyn Rose will be the featured artist at Phillips Studio & Gallery, in the Kalispell Center Mall through March 27. This is Rose’s first solo exhibit at the gallery.

Rose owns a professional photography studio in Kalispell. Her love of travel and Montana has inspired this exhibit titled, “Intimate Nature.” For nearly half a decade she has photographed the beauties of Montana — both the scenery and the people.

Rose has concentrated this body of work on her intimate view through her lens of the nature of Montana. In each photograph the artist has considered the relationships between lines, space, forms, light, color, proportions and the structures of the foreground and background. Her photographs show how indecisive the weather can be in Montana and how gorgeous the state is in all seasons.

One of her favorite locations is the awe-inspiring natural beauty of Glacier National Park. She will also be exhibiting her landscape work of Hungry Horse Reservoir, Bigfork, and a range of other local perspectives.

“Montana definitely gives you the most beautiful wonders, passed down over the generations, making them not only gorgeous locations, but memorable also!” Rose, a Montana native, said. “It gives me tremendous joy to document this legacy.”
