Woman ejected from vehicle dies in Plains
A 20-year-old woman from Santa Ana, California, died after being ejected from her vehicle in Plains Friday night.
According to Montana Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a Mazda 6 southbound on Upper Lynch Creek Road when the vehicle drifted to the side of the roadway. The woman reportedly overcorrected, went into a skid and struck a fence and power pole. The vehicle overturned in a field, and the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected. Montana Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene at 11:29 p.m. and the woman was pronounced dead.
Road conditions were dry. Alcohol and speed are suspected factors in the crash.
