Rams trip Pirates in semifinal

GREAT FALLS — The Billings Central Rams topped the Polson Pirates 58-49 Friday to advance to the State A championship game.

Polson’s hot shooting went cold in the second half while the Rams’ shooting heated up. Though the Pirates led by two at the half, they were outscored 20-7 in the third frame.

Malachai Stewart led the Rams’ attack with 16 points.

Jarrett Wilson paced Polson with 20 points and Xavier Fisher added 13, including four threes.

Billings Central will play Dillon for the Class A title today at 7:30 p.m.

A familiar foe awaits Polson at 9 a.m. today in loser-out play – fellow Northwest A team Ronan.
