Law roundup: Call for help turns out to be dirty prank

Someone called the Kalispell Police Department after seeing “I need help,” written in dirt on the back of a vehicle. A man told officers someone pranked him and everything was OK.

An employee asked officers to move along a man with pink hair and a "pig hat" after a customer he allegedly asked a customer for a ride multiple times in the parking lot, which made the customer uncomfortable.

Three young skateboarders were allegedly being “verbally aggressive” toward a man because his work vehicle was parked at an odd angle and then they spit on it. Officers contacted their parents and all parties agreed the situation was resolved.

A woman was allegedly driving 45 mph and slamming on her brakes.

A store customer was reportedly altering the prices on merchandise while using a self-checkout kiosk. He was issued a citation and released.

Someone was suspicious of a man allegedly dressed like a woman who parked their vehicle “all day, every day,” at the end of a street and would sometimes walk around with two big garbage bags.

Someone’s 11-year-old friend purportedly wouldn’t leave his house after they asked him to multiple times and thought the friend would leave if an officer talked to him. Dispatchers heard the pair arguing over the phone. An officer met with the boys and counseled them.

A woman who had reportedly been arrested lost her purse and wanted to know if it was left in the police car.

Someone found a dozen syringes lying in the grass.
