Dennis Alan Wright, 44, passed away Dec. 13, 2020, at the Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. He had a ruptured brain aneurysm followed by several strokes. The Neurological ICU staff fell in love with Dennis. While under their care, he received the best possible care from the highly skilled staff. The family appreciated the attentiveness the medical staff extended to Dennis and his family.

True to Dennis’s generous and giving nature, he was an organ donor. The family followed his wishes to help others and Dennis peacefully passed on to be with his Lord.

Dennis was born in Kalispell on Aug. 18, 1976, to William “Bill” Wright and Linda B. Wright. He joined his two older sisters Cherie and Pamela. Dennis grew up in Kalispell and graduated from Flathead High School in 1995. Dennis was a member of Easthaven Baptist Church and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as a child. He was a very active member of the church’s youth group throughout his teenage years while living at home.

He loved to ski Big Mountain with his friends but was not so fond of “family bonding” times gathering, splitting and stacking firewood. But Dennis and his sisters always reminisced about those family times as special memories when they were together as adults. He liked to fish for bass and perch with his sisters and dad. He and his dad spent a lot of good times shooting gophers and hunting deer in the Brown’s Meadow area. He loved the deer jerky his Mother made from the harvest of the hunts. Instead of a birthday cake, he always asked his mother to make him her special huckleberry cheesecake. As an adult, he became an expert at barbecuing and smoking turkeys on the grill.

After high school, Dennis decided to attend the Alamon Telco telecommunications school in Kalispell. That was the start of his 20-plus years in the business. He worked for many companies over the years honing his skills and knowledge and was well respected for his abilities and experience in the telecommunications business. He worked in many states coast to coast including Alaska and Hawaii, plus Canada. He was working for Axios Corporation of Lebanon, Oregon, as their lead telecommunications installer in the Denver area at the time of his passing.

Dennis was a quiet and gentle man who was caring toward everyone. He was liked by all who knew and worked with him. He was a wonderful son, brother, father, and a solid and supportive husband that loved his wife, Maureen, with all his heart and cherished their time together. Dennis and Maureen Johnson were married on Aug. 27, 2006, in Eugene, Oregon, and lived in Veneta, Oregon. He was a great dad to his stepdaughter, Tia Kerrigan, daughter Olivia (10), and son August (7). He was an affectionate and caring father and loved them all very much. He made sure the little ones received lots of his time and gave them lots of attention, hugs, and individual time.

Dennis was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Diane Johnson.

He is survived by his parents, Bill and Linda Wright; sisters Cherie Roark (husband Robert, Ben, and Claire) of Spicewood, Texas; Pamela Tucek (husband Scott, Paige, and Ella) of Belton, Texas; wife Maureen with Tia Kerrigan, Olivia, and August; father-in-law Ron Johnson; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family members.

A celebration of Dennis’ life is planned for a later date.
