Law roundup: Man punches truck over parking

A man purportedly was punching a woman’s truck on Ninth Street because he was mad she parked in a walkway. She told Columbia Falls Police Department he might be intoxicated.

Dispatchers answered a 911 call and got a small toddler on the phone. The calls might have been originating from a deactivated cellphone.

A Diane Road resident was suspicious of an unoccupied truck that had been left running for hours. Officers located a man who said he must have forgotten to shut it off.

Two men were heard screaming in the background when someone called the police to report a physical disturbance on Fourth Avenue West. One of the men allegedly was “coming down off a drug high” and hitting his mother’s husband.

Someone tried to chase an older chocolate stray Labrador back home. Despite looking older, the dog was spry enough not to let anyone catch him. Eventually, he was returned home.

An SUV was driving recklessly on Montana 40 when it was seen swerving into oncoming traffic.

Someone called Kalispell Police Department wanting to know if a vehicle that had been “kicked off” the property several times was stolen because it had been in the past when a woman allegedly tried to run over the vehicle owner. The caller was informed it was not and to call back if she thought it needed to be checked out further.

A woman discovered the windows in front of her home were damaged and it looked like marbles were shot at them.

A man with a shaved head allegedly stole sonar equipment valued at approximately $400 to $500. An employee planned to gather video footage for officers.

An employee at another location called 911 to report someone took a $17 bottle of lubricant and was leaving in a vehicle.

A man wearing a dark jacket and a mask pulled around his face and neck allegedly went into a store, unplugged a speaker and walked out with it.

A woman claimed she spotted the people she witnessed stealing tools from a hardware store a couple of weeks ago.

Someone saw about eight to 10 “very young-looking kids,” who appeared to be around 18 to 20, go into an apartment and were walking around with beers.

A man was suspected of living in and dealing drugs out of his car in a parking lot.

A vehicle was seen swerving between lanes and almost driving into oncoming traffic on the bypass.
