An annoyed Whitefish resident on Goat Trail reportedly flagged down Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputies and told them she was in her home and saw a middle-aged man taking pictures in her backyard, so she opened her window and said, “Excuse me, what do you think you are doing on private property? If you want to take pictures, make an appointment with a Realtor.” The man was apologetic and left in his vehicle. The woman allegedly told deputies, “Whitefish used to be a nice place to live, but now it’s ruined by the influx of out-of-staters moving in.”
A woman allegedly walked out of a store with a trashcan full of stolen merchandise and took off in a large SUV, heading southbound on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.
“Some guy from up the hill” reportedly kept driving on a man’s Cobbler Village Terrace property, spinning brodies and tearing up his yard. Deputies confirmed the damage. The resident suspected the vehicle was a black truck.
A black car was swerving all over the place on Electric Avenue in Bigfork and then parked outside a beer festival and four people got out.
Someone spray-painted banners on U.S. 2 in Columbia Falls.
A man reportedly thought a woman was stealing a package from a mailbox on Geners Trail and “hollered” at her to put it back and she yelled an expletive at him and took off in a vehicle.
A chicken was on the loose on Fourth Avenue and someone told Columbia Falls Police Department they were concerned it was going to get hit. It was also spotted up a tree.
A woman on Second Avenue reportedly found the glove box open in her vehicle and signs someone had rummaged through it. Although nothing was missing, she wanted officers aware of criminal mischief.
Someone on Nucleus Avenue was having an issue with rabbits on their property and obtained traps to catch them based on advice from Fish, Wildlife and Parks, but the traps were being stolen and they had a suspect in mind.
