GREAT FALLS — Brothers Brady and Paidrag Lang combined for 22 points and the Bozeman Hawks pulled away in the second half of a 56-43, loser-out win over Glacier Thursday at the State AA boys’ basketball tournament.

Glacier, which ended up 7-10, led the Hawks 18-16 on Colin Presnell’s basket off a feed from Jaxson Olsen midway through the second quarter.

Bozeman (12-5) closed the half on a 10-3 surge, including a 3-pointer from each Lang to lead 26-21 at halftime.

Glacier scored the first five points of the third quarter, getting a three from Weston Price and a basket from Ty Olsen. Bozeman answered with a 10-2 surge, capped by a Ty Huse driving layup, to go up 36-28 at the 2:48 mark.

The gap was 40-32 heading to the fourth and grew to 45-34 on a Huse three and 48-35 on another bomb from Jackson Basye. The 6-foot-7 Basye hit all three of his 3-point attempts and scored 11 points.

Jaxson Olsen had game highs of 13 points and eight rebounds for the Wolfpack, though he was off the mark at the line. As a team Glacier went 6-for-20 on free throws, 4-for-10 after halftime.

Olsen left the game with 3:40 left after getting fouled, apparently with a leg issue. Jackson Weber came in and hit one free throw, and then drained a 3-pointer as time expired.

Presnell started in place of 6-7 Noah Dowler, who sprained an ankle early in Glacier’s opening-round loss to Great Falls and played sparingly after.

Price added nine points for the Pack.
