No. 27624 Notice is hereby given that regular* registration for elections to be held on May 4, 2021 will close at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 5, 2021. To register to vote, or to update your name, address, or other voter information, submit the voter registration application to the county elections office. You may obtain an application by calling the elections office at 406-758-5536 or downloading the application online at www.flathead.mt.gov/elections. The application must be signed before being submitted to the elections office. *If you miss this regular registration deadline, you may still late-register for and vote in the election by showing up at the county election office up to and including on Election Day. Between noon and the close of business on the day before Election Day, you can complete and submit a voter registration card, but you will need to return to the local election office on Election Day or in some cases the school district office to pick up and vote a ballot. All active and inactive**electors who reside in the school/special purpose district holding an election may vote in that district's election. In a fire district or fire service area election, any holder of title to lands within the district who presents proof of payment of taxes to the election office is eligible to vote in the election, in addition to the registered voters of the district. Active registered voters in the district will be automatically mailed a ballot. Nonregistered electors must provide proof of payment of taxes and request a ballot. The form to do so is available online at https://flathead.mt.gov/election/downloads.php . ** For districts holding a mail ballot election, ballots will be automatically mailed to registered electors with an active status by April 14, 2021 -April 19, 2021. No. 27592 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Flathead County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) will receive project bids for excavation of soil located at the former CHS Grain Elevator property located at 505 W Center St., Kalispell, MT 59901. The full bid package is available at the following website: www.flatheadcountyeda.com. Specifications may be obtained by contacting Jerry Meerkatz at 406-257-7711 ext. 4. Bids will be opened by the FCEDA Board on March 18, 2021 at 10:00 am at 44 2nd Ave W, Kalispell, MT. Bids will be accepted until 5:00pm on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. Bids are to be hand-delivered or mailed to: FCEDA c/o Jerry Meerkatz, 44 2nd Ave W, Kalispell, MT 59901. All bids shall remain effective for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of opening. FCEDA reserves the right to consider or reject any and all bids, and further to waive any defects or irregularities. All bidders must use the bid form supplied with the specifications. A contract will be awarded to the lowest, best value, most responsible bidder and deemed to be in the best interest of FCEDA. FCEDA reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities, or to accept any bid it deems to be in the best interest of FCEDA. 1.0 Project Introduction 1.1 Location This project is located on the former CHS Grain Elevator property located at 505 W Center St., Kalispell, MT 59901. 1.2 Background The property is currently developed with concrete grain elevators but is otherwise vacant. There are two existing excavations related to environmental remediation. This project includes the excavation of soil under the direction of an environmental firm for the purposes of environmental remediation and sampling. 1.3 Description This project includes excavation in two areas: Project tasks: 1. Rail spur Excavation - Currently 100' long east to west, 10' wide north to south. Plan to widen excavation to north, south, and east by 3 feet, and extend to the west to RS-1 approximately 50 feet. Extension to the west will be to the new width of 16' x 50'. The extensions to the north and south will be 3'x100' , and the east 3' x 16'. All depths will stay consistent with the previous dig to 30" deep. All excavated soil will be stored on site for future disposal. Rail Spur Excavation Extensions are: 16x50x2.5=2,000 ft3 3x100x2.5= 750 ft3 3x100x2.5= 750 ft3 16x10x2.5= 400 ft3 Total = 3,900 ft3 2. Grain Bin Excavation - Currently 20 wide east to west, 30' wide north to south at 30" deep Within that excavation is the petroleum excavation which is approximately 18' tall north to south and 15' wide east to west. All excavated soil will be stored on site for future disposal. Grain Bin Excavation Extension is: Dig deeper by 2' in the area of GB-2 and extend the excavation to the east by 2' Approximate size of additional excavation = 320 ft3 3. Backfill - Provide backfill material (3" minus) and fill both new and existing excavation areas after environmental sampling is completed. This backfill work should be able to be started the same day as the excavation. The excavation work will be directed by an environmental firm that will be performing sampling in the excavation areas. No power or water is available on site; successful bidder will be responsible for providing own power and water/sanitation facilities, as well as performing all required 'call before you dig' utility inquiries/verifications.
