Crusaders 2-1 at HomeSchool Nationals
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Flathead Valley Home School won two out of three games to begin play at the NHBS HomeSchool Nationals girls’ basketball tournament.
The Crusaders beat Lighthouse Christian out of Springfield 60-28 and the St. Louis Blue Knights 48-33 Tuesday. They dropped a 50-37 decision to the Nashville Warriors on Monday.
After the victory over the Blue Knights FVHS was seeded fourth into the 8-team Division II bracket, and will play today at 2 p.m. against the CHSA Wolverines out of Texas.
Codi Kenney scored 19 points and Makaila Burlingame added 18 - on 9-for-12 shooting - in the win over Lighthouse Christian. Kenney hit two 3-pointers. Seven of the eight Crusaders scored, with Corey Connerly getting seven points.
Against the Blue Knights Connerly poured in 18 points and Kenney hit four threes on the way to 16.Daily
On Monday the Crusaders ran out to a 17-8 lead only to see Nashville Warriors get back in front, 33-26, by the end of the third quarter.
Connerly led the way with 11 points in that game. Kenney (three 3-pointers) and Burlingame had nine points each.
