Eureka girls have two All-State picks

Seniors Kyla Bohne and Katie Schmidt, who just led the Eureka Lions to their first State B girls’ basketball tournament since 2006, have been named All-State for Class B.

The selections come as part of the All-District 7-B basketball teams released this week. The top three vote-getters by the district coaches are named All-State; joining Bohne and Shcmidt is senior Megan Baxter of Thompson Falls.

The boys’ All-State selections are Zoran LaFrombois of Mission, Kade Pardee of Thompson Falls and Isak Epperly of Bigfork. Epperly and LaFrombois are sophomores; Pardee, whose Bluehawks finished fourth at the State B tournament, is a senior.

Rounding out the All-District 7-B boys’ first team are Eureka’s Gavin Bates, Dante Micheli of Thompson Falls and Cormac Benn of Bigfork.

The girls’ All-District 7-B first team also includes Ellie Baxter and Jody Detlaff of Thompson Falls and Emma Berreth of Bigfork.
