Law roundup: Kids not tricked by teen's behavior

Kalispell Police Department received a walk-up complaint of a suspicious man at the skate park who was purportedly harassing kids, telling them he had been smoking meth and couldn’t walk in addition to offering them candy for tricks. Officers spoke with the “man” who turned out to be a 17-year-old messing around.

Someone’s vehicle was reportedly egged during the night and they wanted to make a report after someone told them on social media that the suspects were caught.

A woman, who had been drinking and was difficult to understand, alleged her husband was “out of control” and wanted him to go to the hospital but couldn’t say why an ambulance was needed over law enforcement. She then said her husband was intoxicated and needed mental help.

When dispatchers told her it was difficult to understand her due to her slurred speech she reportedly swore and hung up. Medical assistance was requested for a very intoxicated man.

A vehicle on Third Avenue East was reportedly all over the road and nearly hit several parked vehicles.

A woman said her friend was driving over after being followed by an ex-boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend who had been threatening to kill her. She told dispatchers the friend arrived safely.

An intoxicated man was allegedly hanging around a building, drinking and refusing to move along after being asked by a manager, whom he yelled at. He was told he couldn’t return to the property or it would be considered trespassing.

A man allegedly thought a stranger was trying to open his door and saw a black car in front of his window. He was also suspicious of six other vehicles that left the location. Officers were unable to locate anything suspicious.

A resident requested extra patrol throughout the night because several vehicles were reportedly coming and going at the same time from Santa Fe Street, and were driving recklessly and speeding.

Someone was suspicious of an unoccupied vehicle with its trunk open.

An elderly man in hiking boots told hotel staff he was registered to a room in someone else’s name, provided a Mexican license and a Canadian passport that also had different names and refused to leave. The man seemed dazed and confused. It was eventually determined he forgot what room he was staying in and he was helped back to his room.

Officers received a noise complaint where someone, who wanted to remain anonymous, said partiers were “getting out of control.”

Noisy apartment revelers purportedly ignored someone’s request to “turn it down,” so they called police, saying the partygoers were “high or something,” and there was lots of banging noises and sounds of stuff being moved around.
