Local Girl Scout cookies sales include drive-thru event
Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming announced that troop members will be holding booth sales of Girl Scout cookies at a variety of locations such as grocery and big-box stores through April 18.
Customers can find exact locations, dates and times in their area two ways:
• Visit girlscoutcookies.org and enter their zip code
• Download the official Girl Scout Cookie Finder App on iTunes or Google Play.
Girl Scout Troop 3709, the RoboScout Squad, will be selling Girl Scout cookies via a drive-through event at the Flathead County Fairgrounds on Friday and Saturday.
The drive-thru will be located inside the main Meridian entrance. Hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 2, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday; cash, checks and card payments will be accepted.
The troop also has an online store: https://digitalcookie.girlscouts.org/scout/troop3709-654
The classic favorites of Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-si-dos, Trefoils, and Lemon Ups are available for $4 per box. Specialty cookies, including the gluten-free variety, Toffee-tastics and S’mores, cost $5 per box.
If folks don’t want to eat the cookies themselves, they can still support local Girl Scouts without taking cookies home. Through the Council Gift of Caring program, cookies are donated to hometown heroes including firemen, police, first responders, medical staff and others the troops recognize as heroes.
All of the net revenue raised through the Girl Scout Cookie Program stays with the local council and troops. Girl Scout troops set goals for how to spend their proceeds on program-related activities including travel, camp, as well as purchasing materials for community projects.
