Robin Coe, 65
A finer man never walked this earth. Robin Coe passed on to another realm on March 24, 2021. He never met another person who wasn't a friend. He loved life, spirit and the beautiful planet on which we live. More than anything, he loved to fish. He expressed his creativity in all aspects of his life. His drawings, paintings, pottery and woodworking were all extraordinary.
He grew up in the Lower Flathead, as well as in the greater Seattle area, receiving a double degree in fine arts and education from Western Washington University in Ellensburg. Shortly after graduating, he moved his family to Fairbanks, Alaska, where he spent 23 years raising his two sons and becoming a fine finish carpenter.
In 2008 he moved back to Montana and married Eloise Wiebe. They spent the time they had together on their small farm working on building projects, gardening, camping and, of course, fishing.
Robin was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Coe and Joyce Flynn, and his oldest son, Raif.
He is survived by his wife Eloise, son Kyle (Silvia), granddaughter Ares, and many, many friends.
There will be a celebration of Robin's life later in the year.
“But since it fell into my lot. That I should rise and you should not, I'll gently rise and softly call, Good night and joy be to you all.
So fill to me the parting glass, And drink a health whate'er befalls, Then gently rise and softly call, Good night and joy be to you all.” — traditional Scottish song
