Whitefish netters sweep Ronan

WHITEFISH — Whitefish’s tennis teams prevailed over Ronan’s Tuesday despite poor weather that ended some matches early.

Jayce Cripe led the Bulldogs (who won 6-0) with his No. 1 boys singles win over Dillon Prettyontop, 6-1, 6-3. Joe Brandt and Ayden Mullholland also scored wins, while Austin Gunset’s match was cut short.

Aaron Dicks and Jack Robertson helmed the Whitefish sweep in doubles.

Skyler Shima of Ronan got the better of Anyah Cripe in No. 1 girls singles, but the Bulldogs won 4-2. Gracie Smyley and Lauren Brown won each of their matches in straight sets.

Emma Shaffer and Alivia Lusko’s No. 2 doubles match was marked incomplete due to weather.

Whitefish next plays host to Libby and Polson Thursday, with matches starting at noon.
