| May 14, 2021 12:00 AM

Donald John “Big D” Collier, 60, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, due to prolonged illnesses.

Donnie was born in Kalispell on Feb. 18, 1961.

He is survived by his son DJ Buck Collier, his parents Sharon (Tootie) and Gary Collier, sister Connie (Craig) Ronan, and brother Tyler (Shannon) Collier, his only aunt, Norma Montoya, and cousins, nieces, nephews, and large extended family.

Donnie graduated from Flathead High School in 1979. Donnie worked at Kalispell Neon for his dad until his stroke in 2009. He also guided for Shawn Little in the Middle Fork where many adventures were found. Donnie also had a share in the Diamond R Guest Ranch in Spotted Bear. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending much of his youth and adult life hunting and fishing with family and friends.

Donnie had an infectious laugh, and we are going to miss that twinkle in his eye when he smiled. He had a big heart, and always showed kindness to everyone he met.

Love you, Big D. Rest in peace. We hope you are catching the big fish up there with Dave.

A celebration of life is tentatively planned for July 17.

Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
