Lakers split with Great Falls Chargers

Great Falls’ Keeton Clark singled home two runs in the top of the sixth inning Sunday to break a 2-2 tie and help the Chargers defeat the Kalispell Lakers AA, 9-5 in the first game of an American Legion baseball doubleheader.
The Lakers claimed the second game, 6-1, to split the twinbill.
The Lakers fell despite outhitting Great Falls, 8-6.
Joseph Schlegel led Kalispell at the plate, batting 2-for-3.
It was Schlegel with the late inning heroics in the second game. The Lakers were up 2-1, but Schlegel’s RBI single sparked a four-run inning
Max Holden gave up one run on four hits with six strikeouts to record the win.
Schlegel again had multiple hits, batting 2-for-3.
