BILLINGS — Eureka’s Kyla Bohne and Erik Casazza, along with the Baxter girls of Thompson Falls, earned All-State honors as the State B golf championships concluded Wednesday at Eaglerock Golf Course.

Bigfork’s Colin Wade had a second-day rally to make All-State as well.

Columbus swept the team titles at the tournament, winning the girls title by 39 strokes and the boys title by eight.

Individual champions were Fairfield’s Emma Woods, who shot a 154; Baker’s Connor Flint was the boys champion with a two-day total of 152, edging Missoula Loyola’s Zeke Boos by one stroke.

Boos, who’d won seven straight tournaments, was aiming for Loyola’s fourth straight medalist: The Rams’ Bucky Crippen won from 2017-19. There was no tournament last year because of the pandemic.

Bohne finished third in the girls individual race with a 2-day total of 174; not far behind was Megan Baxter of Thompson Falls at 181. In ninth was the Bluehawks’ Ellie Baxter, at 183.

On the boys side Casazza tied for fourth overall with a total of 161. Wade, meanwhile, fired a second-day 79 to move up to 10th in the individual tournament.

The top 15 individuals are named All-State.

Bigfork’s girls finished 11th in the team race; Katie Hummel was the Valkyries’ top finisher, tying for 35th at 220.

Eureka’s boys were seventh.
