Evergreen Rural Fire District has two board openings

The Evergreen Rural Fire District is seeking to fill two vacancies on its governing board.

Board member Jack Fallon said the district had set a May 21 deadline for prospective members to submit applications, but it passed without a single letter expressing interest.

The board will continue seeking applicants until both vacancies are filled, he said.

Terms on the board are three years. Prospective board members must be eligible to vote, reside in the district, or own land in the district and show proof of payment of property taxes.
