Law roundup: Nothing sinister about abandoned pink blanket
A woman reportedly told the Kalispell Police Department she saw a pink blanket with hair by a daycare and she and her friend were afraid it was a baby or a sex trafficking trap. Officers determined the blanket was just a blanket.
A belligerent woman donning a red wig was allegedly “not acting right,” at a bar and an employee asked if officers would check on her. She also left a child sitting in a car parked out front of the establishment. The bartender called a taxi for both of them.
Someone asked officers if they could talk to a former tenant who was in a hallway yelling about women using drugs and threatening to shoot them.
A woman called 911 and reportedly ranted to dispatchers. She wouldn’t answer any questions and hung up. Dispatchers called back the phone number and got a front desk employee who said they would check her room. She refused to open the door but was told to stop calling dispatchers.
A neighborhood busybody claimed a small mixed breed dog barked constantly and another neighbor told them he had a history of getting out of the yard and attacking other dogs. An officer drove by the location twice and the dog did not bark or show aggression and was described as being a good boy.
A man allegedly was being harassed via email by an unknown person who was demanding money from him and threatening to tarnish his image on social media.
A man reportedly stole the coat he was wearing.
A red car kept blocking the sidewalk when parked in a residential driveway. The residents were contacted and said they would move the vehicle.
Someone claimed people were throwing stuff out of a vehicle, making “drastic head movements” and their body language suggested they were high. The report was deemed unfounded and the people were just taping plastic on one of the vehicle windows because of the rain.
