Golan ties C-Falls scoring record
COLUMBIA FALLS — Columbia Falls’ Kai Golan tied the school single-season goals record with his 17th on Thursday in a 7-0 Wildcats win over Northwest A foe Polson.
Golan, who scored twice and had one assist, tied the record set by Logan Stephens in 2017.
It was senior night in Columbia Falls, and Wildcats seniors George Robbins, Hunter Trenary and Brandon Lopez were at center stage.
“They played wonderful tonight, and played every minute of the game,” coach O’Brien Byrd said. “A testament to their four years of dedication.”
Dale Blickhan and Findley Sundberg also scored and each had an assist.
The Wildcats are 8-2-1 overall and 5-2 in conference with their last regular season game Saturday in Libby.

WHITEFISH — Chase Sabin’s late goal helped Whitefish edge Bigfork 1-0.
Sabin scored in the 65th minute to put the Bulldogs over the top in their final regular season game.
Will Peppmeier made two saves for the shutout. Bigfork’s Caden Riedesel had 14 saves.
Whitefish finishes the season 12-0 overall and 7-0 in Northwest A. Playoffs begin next week.

COLUMBIA FALLS — Senior Maddie Robison scored four goals for the Columbia Falls Wildkats Thursday, fittingly on senior night, to lead the Kats to an 8-1 win over Polson.
Robison also had an assist.
“Good game — awesome for the seniors,” coach Thomas Clark said. “We have eight seniors — certainly every one of those seniors has had a massive role in the program during their careers. Awesome to see them all play tonight.”
Cheyanne Johnston-Heinz added two goals for the Wildkats (8-3, 5-2) and Hope McAtee got two assists.
Polson’s goal was scored by Sophia Moderie.

WHITEFISH — Emma Barron’s hat trick led the Whitefish Bulldogs to victory over Bigfork to cap off an undefeated regular season.
Barron also had two assists for the Bulldogs.
Sofie Saurey scored two goals and got one assist, and Sophie Olson added a goal and an assist.
Whitefish is 12-0, 7-0 going into next week’s Class A playoffs.
