C-Falls gets 7 TDs from Roth in rout

COLUMBIA FALLS — The clock kept running and the lead kept growing for Columbia Falls Friday, the Wildcats taking an 81-0 Northwest A football win over Browning behind seven Isaiah Roth touchdowns.

Roth, a senior, carried the ball nine times for 263 yards and six touchdowns, and added a 17-yard scoring reception against the Indians (2-5 overall, 1-2 in league). His first scoring run, covering six yards, was set up by Cody Schweikert’s blocked punt.

Columbia Falls (4-1, 3-1 in league) was just getting going: Roth added touchdown runs covering 5, 78, 62, 46 and 28 yards. His 78-yarder put the Wildcats up 34-0; Mark Robison’s 22-yard TD reception made it 41-0 at half. That set off the running clock in the second half.

By the end Schweikert was 7 for 11 passing for 111 yards, his team had outgained Browning 421-124 and Mason Peters, Alihn Anderson and Wyatt Edgerton had all returned interceptions for scores.

Anderson had two picks; Cade Morgan added a 32-yard touchdown run for the Wildcats, who play the annual Cat-Dog game next Friday in Whitefish.
