Vikings bottle up Copperheads

BIGFORK — Patrick Wallen threw for four touchdowns, George Bucklin had two long scoring runs and Bigfork made short work of Anaconda Friday, winning 48-0 in Western B football.

Wallen threw just 10 passes for the Vikings (6-0 overall, 3-0 in the Western B), but completed eight for 206 yards.

His scoring passes covered 55 yards to Nick Walker, 4 yards to Isak Epperly, 33 to Joseph Farrier and 45 to Bryce Gilliard.

Bucklin did his damage on just two carries, both going for touchdowns covering 46 and 80 yards. By the end Bigfork owned a 428-99 advantage in total yards, and Wyatt Johnson had taken his one carry 33 yards to the house.

Sophomore quarterback Cory Galle led the Copperheads (0-7, 0-3), completing 15 of 26 passes for 119 yards. Nathan Blodnick caught 14 of those passes for 110 yards.

Jeremiah Venagas led a Viking defense that held Anaconda to minus-20 rushing yards with eight tackles.

Bigfork goes back on the road this coming Friday for a key Western B game with Eureka.
