Law roundup: Police intervene to settle bike squabble
A landlord stole a bike from a tenant’s child, then refused to give the bike back, according to the child’s mother. The Columbia Falls Police Department spoke with all the parties involved, and the bike was returned.
A woman left an envelope on her ex’s porch and the man’s daughter called 911. The daughter didn’t look in the envelope, but she said she suspected it would “cause issues.”
A man dressed in “all dark clothes” raised suspicion after he bought a pair of gloves and drove away.

A vehicle appeared to have all of its doors open at a hotel. The hotel advised law enforcement it would not contact the guests in the middle of the night, even about the bizarre state of the vehicle.
