Flathead spikers sweep Capital, Glacier falls to Helena in 5

HELENA — Savanna Sterck helped the Flathead Bravettes beat Helena Capital in three sets Thursday with her three aces and 10 kills.

Flathead improves to 12-9 overall and 8-3 in Western AA volleyball.

Akilah Kubi was a big contributor for Flathead with six kills and two blocks. Cyan Mooney and Sienna Sterck each had 10 digs and Kylie Munsinger served three aces and recorded 15 assists.

The Bravettes take on Helena High today at 1 p.m.

HELENA — The Helena High Bengals edged the Glacier Wolfpack 3-2 in Western AA volleyball.

Glacier (11-10 overall, 7-4 conference) started off strong by winning the first and third sets but Helena (12-9, 8-3) surged in the last two.

Sidney Gulick led Glacier with 18 kills and two service aces. Ella Farrell added seven blocks and Haven Speer had 31 assists.

The Pack has a 1 p.m. game today against Helena Capital.
