Flathead, Glacier finish up regular-season volleyball with wins

MISSOULA — Flathead wrapped up its regular season volleyball play with a sweep of Western AA foe Missoula Hellgate on Thursday.

The Bravettes (14-10 overall, 10-4 conference) got seven kills each from Maddy Moy and Sienna Sterck and seven aces from Kylie Munsinger. Moy also had two blocks and Munsinger had 17 assists.

Savanna Sterck recorded 11 digs and Cyan Mooney and Sienna Sterck each had nine digs.

For Hellgate (1-19, 1-13), Camille Sherill checked in with 13 kills and 12 digs.

Blocks — Flathead 5 (Moy 2, Akilah Kubi 2), Hellgate 3 (Sherill 2). Digs — Flathead 39 (Savanna Sterck 11, Cyan Mooney 9, Sienna Sterck 9), Hellgate 45 (Sherill 12, Lindsey Woody 11).

Glacier 3, Missoula Big Sky 0

MISSOULA — The Wolfpack dispatched Big Sky in three sets Thursday with help from Sidney Gulick’s 17 kills and three blocks.

Haven Speer added 28 assists and Sammie Labrum served four aces. Maddie Frazier had 13 digs.

Glacier finishes its regular season 12-12 overall and 9-5 in Western AA.

For Big Sky (3-21, 1-13), Jordan Whitmire had 12 digs and one ace.

Glacier High School is the host site for the Western AA Divisional tournament scheduled to run Nov. 4-6, with games starting at 1 p.m. Thursday.
