Law roundup: Man knows which dog ‘did the deed’
Two people with “a lot of bad history” got into a fight because one suspected the other had let his dog defecate on the other person’s property. The caller said he “has not actually seen the dog do the deed, but he knows it is his neighbor’s dog.” The Kalispell Police Department instituted extra patrols in the area.
A manager of a grocery store didn’t want to deal with any more “theatrics” from a woman who was waving her arms in the store.
Another woman stole two down jackets from a store, so she wasn’t welcome back at that business, either.
One dedicated neighbor kept a year-long bark log for their neighbor’s two dogs.
An ex-boyfriend refused to give belongings back to his former partner, including items she allegedly needed for an upcoming surgery. Then he told the dispatcher, he had “grown weary of this conversation” and hung up.
A blanket was discovered on top of a suitcase outside a library, and confusion ensued regarding the blanket’s owner.
A woman in Butte called the local police because she hadn’t heard from her brother in a year. His neighbor reported he was “doing fine.”
An employee called the police about a man “hanging around” the business, but an officer who visited the scene said the only person he saw was “not doing anything wrong.”
Someone found a birth certificate and vehicle registration. Law enforcement noted the person identified had a twin brother.
A woman called because a large German Shepherd had gotten loose a few months prior. She said the dog “slammed” into her door in an attempt to get at her cats. The dog owner was issued a citation.
