Ridgeway throws 3 TDs as Bulldogs bust Broncs

WHITEFISH — Fynn Ridgeway through for 247 yards and three touchdowns, and the Whitefish Bulldogs held off Frenchtown for another Western A football victory Friday, 20-14.

Ridgeway’s 8-yard scoring pass to Jaxsen Schlach on the Bulldogs’ first drive after halftime proved to be the difference. The Broncs had trouble getting past midfield and their last drive ended with a Schlach interception at the Whitefish 40-yard line with 2:17 left.

Jack Akey also picked off a pass for the Bulldogs. Cody Berry ran 13 times for 61 yards. Ridgeway completed 21 of 32 passes and was intercepted twice.

Bodie Smith had seven receptions for 112 yards for Whitefish, including a 33-yard TD. Clayton Godsey caught Ridgeway’s first scoring pass, of 23 yards.

Eli Quinn and Devin Shelton hooked up on both Frenchtown touchdowns.

Libby 37, Ronan 6

LIBBY — Ryder Davis ran for 139 yards and one touchdown and passed for another score as Libby swamped Ronan 37-6 in a Western A matchup.

Davis had 16 carries, and took one 27 yards for the Loggers’ first score. He round Kaleb Folk for 40 yards and the third TD for Libby.

Jace DeShazer added two rushing touchdowns and Cy Stevenson and Ryan Collins tore off scoring runs of 50 yards. The Loggers piled up 372 rushing yards, and Davis threw for 73.

Bigfork 27, Cut Bank 0

CUT BANK — Bigfork’s Levi Taylor ran for two touchdowns Friday in a 27-0 rout of the Cut Bank Wolves in Class B football.

Taylor’s scoring runs ranged from 2 to 78 yards, the latter coming in the third quarter. Taylor was also 1-for-3 on extra point kicks and had six carries for 98 yards.

Isak Epperly intercepted Cut Bank quarterback Caleb Demanigold’s pass and ran for a touchdown, which put the Vikings up 8-0 in the first after completing a two point conversion.

Bigfork gained 221 yards of total offense to Cut Bank’s 113.

Bigfork QB Patrick Wallen completed three passes for 74 yards. Cut Bank’s Demanigold was 11-15 for 68 yards.
