Eureka shuts out Conrad 35-0

CONRAD — Caleb Utter ran for two touchdowns and passed for two more Friday, and Eureka’s defense was sturdy in a 35-0 non-conference football win at Conrad.

Utter was 4-for-18 passing for 81 yards, but he completed TD throws of 25 yards to Joey Kindel and 20 to John Grieve.

Grieve also ran for a touchdown for the Lions (2-0), who held the Cowboys (0-2) to 85 yards of offense.

Tyson Brouillette ran eight times for 59 yards for Eureka; Utter gained 47 yards on eight carries. His scoring runs covered 2 and 5 yards.

Danny Dunn was in on 9 tackles, including two for losses, to lead the Lions’ defense. He was also 3-for-3 on PAT kicks and caught a PAT pass from Utter.
